Just saw a stack of them at the aviation megastore aalsmeerderbrug the netherlands for 39,95 euros. I want the one with the fillet so didn't buy one. Want to make a Dutch K-version. So have to wait a bit more.
Cheers

Hoping some of our European friends will soon be able to post initial impressions of this kit.  Only comment I've seen so far is over on Britmodeler, the guy indicated he was disappointed, mentioned details weren't as sharp as he had expected.

Fingers crossed...

Well, we can agree to disagree, but having received this kit today and inspecting it, it has indeed a slightly different texture than the sprues i saw at Euro Scale Modelling, which by the way had a different colour, the production sprues are light grey.

The presented sprues at the modelling show were a bit smoother IMHO, but the production parts are very very acceptable, and like Cees already mentioned "almost Tamiya quality".

I'll try to have an image, but i doubt it'll be noticeable what it lookes like, especially as i can't present a picture of the preproduction sprues.....

Hi John, a guy who makes models and also has them published in several magazines is building an early release example (Damn I've forgotten his name, James Hunt?) has posted some shots in this thread already, he's a well respected modeller and he likes it so far.

I got the kit yesterday afternoon, it looks good to me, its not perfect, there is always going to be someone who is not satisfied, perhaps that guy on Britmoddler is one? I'm not knocking B M or their members there, just saying there is never a perfect kit, but for less than £30 delivered here in UK, some might need to give more realistic expectations if you are hearing bad vibes already.

From what I can tell of my kit so far, its not perfect, so please don't expect that, its not Tamiya quality, but for sure its no Dragon Mustang effort either ... I dont have any experience of the ZM Mustang and cant comment.

Its a very cheap kit for what it is and if you dont have over high expectations then you wont be disappointed :)

I hope at some point it will be available in the US for under 30 bucks. The cheapest I've seen it online here is just over 40 USD.

Oh man,

I really liked the wing putty period mid-forties manufactured Mustang conversation versus the 75 year after the fact cosmetic doctor restorations. Hey! Lets paint everything in gloss clear coat banter and put my girl friends name on it. (Tom Cruise)

Did someone take their ball and go home already? I sat in one an therefore I'm am the resident expert? Well me too, also flew in a few but certainly say without doubt, I'm no expert 75 years after the fact. The photos however are period photos and paint a better picture then that of a current Mustang restoration. Just kindly saying. I'll take my ball and go home now. Humor!

Ha - ah well, still seems a decent price.

For my part I wish the kit was free and delivered to my house by Scarlett Johannson....

There's a build by Angelo Picardo in the December 2017 SAMI. http://www.sampublic...r/prod_699.html

This was done from a test shot, and was on the Revell stand at SMW.

(A bit o/t, but there's also a 1:48 Eduard 109 by someone or other ...  )
