Ernie

Super progress and completely agree about how careful you need to be with thin resin as compared to an injected molded kit. Wings and blow in doors look great ... and if the fit is better then Papa Tamiya: WOW!

I've also found working in a smaller scale (my 1/48 Tomcat) is a breath of fresh air and a lot of fun.

Keep 'em comin

Peter

Thanks Peter. I'm super happy with it so far. I was busy all last weekend so I got ZERO modeling done.

Looking sharp!  Another excellent kit, I wish existed in 1/32...

Made some progress on this birdy. The wing assembly is positively glorious in every way.
I can't say much more than that. The attach points have deep, positive locking, tight wells that automatically set that odd Russian anhedral in to the exact degree, so the airplane looks RIGHT when sitting on the table.

So far, this has been an amazingly fun build, and a great break from attacks of chronic AMS.

That looks really nice, Ernie.  You guys and your Cold War jets are making me think about opening my wallet.

These jets are a great mojo rebuilder and super fun to build. For esoteric subjects that are unavailable in 1/32, to me, it's fair to grab a 1/48 kit as a stand in.
Especially with these Russian jets. They're huge!
