Starfighter
Looking forward to this! Pretty strange they haven't released any sprue shots and / or photos of an assembled test shot so far. SharkOwl and timvkampen
f5guy
Can't wait to get my hands on one of these F-5 kits, my only problem is how to stop at just one! There are three options on the kits sheet alone that mean I'll probably end up with three of them, not to mention the F-5F ! No joke! I've been waiting for a new tool E, and an F period for the last 20 years. I can't wait to get my hands on these kits either! Three F's, and at least 6 E's for me. Come on KH, take my money Fred K. Dave Williams
Im waiting for this too. Im on a bit of a Vietnam war theme at the mo. F-5A/B/C Models were used during the Vietnam war. The first F-5E didn't fly until late August 1972, so while South Vietnam may have gotten a handful before surrendering, they weren't there during the bulk of the war. The box art is misleading as it shows US F-5Es in SEA camo, but assigned to a US based unit. David66
Tony T
Yes, the box art probably depicts Tigers painted up as 425th TFS, 58th TFTW Freedom Fighters - not sure whether or not Luke AFB received F-5Es in the TO-114 SEA scheme. The Tigers were flown in combat by the Republic of Vietnam air force and later by the "unified" regime in the greens, tan and pale grey scheme. Remember seeing pics of combat damaged F-5Es that had survived hits from SA-7 Strela. Tony Harold and David66
