Joel,

If you want a start, I'd suggest the Red Baron Fokker DV I.  You will  have the unusual challenge of getting not one, not two, but THREE wings properly aligned.  Ha!  But minimal rigging as I guess the German's knew how to build a plane back then. :-)  These are fun, and actually the Spad XIII is pretty easy too as the rigging goes.

Give it a whirl!

Chris

Coming down to the wire here.  I missed my deadline of getting it ready for the club meeting Wednesday night - I really need one more week(end) to get it right.  Oh well.

Here are a few teaser pics.  Still have some of the cowling pieces to paint and attach, and had to redo two of the rigging lines (and one of the fuselage pieces came loose too), but finally painted the bottom so it is actually gray.

A better look at the rigging:

And the repainted cowling actually fits the nose!

And a snapshot of the cockpit.

The exhausts are just dry fitted for the moment.  You know, this is actually a pretty nice kit. With a bit more work than I put into it, it would be really something fantastic.

More later this week.

Chris

Chris,

As it stands right now, it's one fantastic build. I'm more then impressed what you've accomplished with a kit nearly 50 years old.  :speak_cool:

Chris,

That was certainly an impressive build, and you really flew right through it. Heading on over to the Ready for Inspection forum and check it out.

This seems to be a build of lessons-learned.
