Kagemusha
Most Czechs would regard being called Eastern European, a little bit insulting. They are in Central Europe, after all. I think after the Iron Curtain went up, Europe just became West and East.

jaleonard3
This Whirlwind thread has been running almost as long as the actual aircraft lasted in service......and still we have no 1/32nd Whirlwind. etendard, Troy Molitor and CATCplSlade
CATCplSlade
I hope they release it soon; I want to sit it next to my Trumpeter Devastator once I have them both. LSP_K2 and Troy Molitor
esarmstrong
I hope they release it soon; I want to sit it next to my Trumpeter Devastator once I have them both. That would look great next to my Tamiya 1/48 B-17...
petrov27
joking aside at least we have seen steel moulds and box art for this one so I think it may not be too further away - maybe by end of year? Personally still looking forward to it.... Troy Molitor
Reuben L. Hernandez
I will buy a Whirlwind for sure but a Seafury🤤. I would love to buy a Fisher Seafury it is the pentacle of resin kits IMHO but I just can't bring myself to drop that kind of dough on one kit! Hopefully this kit will be extremely nice and at a affordable and reasonable price point. Bring them on Special Hobby my money is burning a hole in my pocket 🔥
wunwinglow
Hey, they came good on the Tempests. I think we are in a Golden Age right now! And patience, especially for modelmakers, is supposed to be a virtue!
dennismcc
That would look great next to my Tamiya 1/48 B-17... And my 1/48 Short Stirling and Halifax, I'm greedy Cheers Dennis Bomber_County

Guest Peterpools
I stopped holding my breath on all these 'to be released' kits as time is marching by and it's still a no show. When something shows up, I'm in to buy but until then, I don't give t a second thought. Cutting the steel molds means nothing as if I remember correctly, Trumpeter has shown many years ago the molds for the Devastator and except for appearing in their catalog every year; it's become the Kings Cloths of the Model world Peter
Kagemusha
Special Hobby seem to be getting their act together, the Tempests took years to be released, but they got the Yak 3 out pretty quickly, and it appears to be the case with the Whirlwind, the box art was done a few months ago which is always a positive sign. LSP_K2
Man, I really hope SH will deliver us a Typhoon and Sea Fury!! Cheers Alan The Typhoon would most certainly intrigue me, though the Airfix kits are both excellent. The scale is not really a factor to me. If it's a decent Typhoon, I'll probably want one. alanash1963 and Rick Griewski 1
