Smith and Creek Vol 2 page 359 shows an A4 on its belly with bent blades. Aero Detail #6 says VDM9-12067 on an A4 so

I would assume Antons all used metal and the switch was made for the Dora. Of course I will defer to another ref for the

A7.

That's what had me curious: they look more like the broad-chord wooden blades of the D-series.

As you mention it, the blades do look a bit off- first impression was that they were too wide for the standard type- but, no they look about right, at least proportionally. I was about to comment that the tips seem a bit too pointy, then took a good look at my refs again, and notice that there was a subtle bit of variation- both in the over all plan form and in the tip shape. So the pictured props are within the range for the standard metal blades for the BMW.
