Nice, I an busy with the Revell FW 190 at the moment.

I started mine too, but sure didn't get very far before I got distracted by something else.

How do you guys get these big postal orders past the wife?? I need to know your secrets ! I get busted when a decal set comes in the mail, and that is just a small envelope !

I'm a stay at home dad so I'm usually the one who gets the mail. There have been times where she's been home and stuff arrives and I get an eye roll but she's mostly understanding.

Unfortunately the shoe defence doesn't work on her as I think we're about even there.

I spit my coffee out on that one LOL

My wife doesn't care, we each have our hobbies that eat money.

Mine either. Her art supplies are just as expensive as the LSP hobby. She is more particular about the colors on my models she may have to look at. Yellow wing biplanes, WWI colors, silver jets and colorful Dino's are good. Luftwaffe night fighters with only grey dots are not so good.

My two other passions in life have been flying and photography. While a life long Nikon shooter, starting way back fin the film days up through my D850, I've had this erg to rediscover film; yes film. There is a quality you obtain from film in creating a print that just doesn't come through with digital. So, as I turned the 70, I thought, why not add film to my weaponry and enjoy both. I'm now the proud owner owner of a beautiful Bronica SQ-A 6X6 medium format outfit.

Sort of treating myself to a birthday present:

Several tricks come to mind.

If shipped FedEx, divert drop off to local FedEx store and pick it up.

Ship to work or friend.

Plan your orders to come in on days you know she is working late or out of town.

Just take the beating.

Weird... I have already used all the techniques as well as some other ones... ;-)

Beautiful piece of equipment Peter - very jealous!

I still have my printing/enlargement kit somewhere in one of the garages - un-used for about 30 years...

Nice set-up, Brother Bear.  I have the same.  Bought it years ago to compliment my Nikon F3HPT and FA.  Don't leave home without it.

Sincerely,

Mark

I did the Medium Format thing back when Digital was getting on board.  I shot with the Mamiya 645. It is a lot of fun and very much so different from 35mm.   At one time I thought I was going to be a wedding photographer part time.  Big mistake. Quick way to learn to hate a fun hobby.

I never had all that much luck with my 35mm Minolta, and sold it off as soon as I could afford a decent digital camera. I also hated waiting for the prints to see if the photos actually turned out OK.

Got my Oscar Deuce, my 48th Huey, and my 48 FRS.1 Harrier. And some 72nd! Aftermarket...

A 35th UH-1C that I got for the rockets only...  A Werners Wings Cobra Canopy, and still waiting on a Werners Wings Chinook Canopy (or Cockpit Windows for the resin nose...)

I only ordered Saturday but I hope they will arrive in Texas before I go home in 3 weeks.
