VMFA-334 F-4J Phantom II Falcons DaNang 1968 (finished)

Recommended Posts

Gents, this one has been finished for awhile, but the pressures of work & travel prevented me from photographing it. With a tip of my hat to Lt. Col. William E. Cross, Jr. (retired), 27 years in the USMC, three wars and three overseas tours of duty, including USMC HQ Saigon 1969-1970. The plane is part of VMFA-334 stationed at DaNang in 1968. This one's for you, Pop.

Great Job Bill!

I marked it as finished and put the pics in the GB Gallery! I also merged the two topics for you so we didn't have two posts floating about.

Thanks for being in our group build Bill!

I'm sure your Dad is smiling down on you and your great project. :)

Gotta love Marine mud movers. Question, what munitions are on the bottom of the TERs, napalm?

Thanks, everybody! Nothing quite so satisfying as praise from your betters. This place attracts the best, so I'm honored to be part of the Group Build. B)

Yes, those are napalm canisters from the Z-M Skyraider ordnance set. I'm at work, so I don't remember the munitions classification number, but someone here knows what I mean.

And thanks, Paul, for merging the two threads.
