i glued the cockpit assembly to the port side of the fuselage next

then i cut a wedge from both fuselage halves behind the cockpit to make the italeri bulkhead fit

before joining the halves i made some intake trunking in bolth halves to prevent a see-through fuselage 

granted, the mirage intakes are very small, but still a modification i wanted to do

had to use considerable force to close up the fuselage and keep everything fairly straight

the wedge for widening the fuselage was glued in at the bottom, cannon ports were opened up before, lotsa putty required

correcting the shape of the fuselage behind the pit to make the canopy fit, again lotsa putty on the intakes

 

[blackbetty]

some work to change the IP setup to a dagger from the mirage part (uh-oh, macro)
