Thank you for your messages Alain, Paolo, Max, TankBuster, Alain and Håkan.

Your encouragement makes me extremely happy and shows that I'm (finally, I think!) on the right track: continuing to enjoy myself, sharing my work with you, testing new techniques and finally making progress in building and painting my models.
So there you have it, my Yak 9 is finished and ready to parade in the showcase, which looks quite big for its buddy the FW 190.
A few photos taken outside today, with a big blue sky and the help of a modeler friend (Philippe/tcherno81).
I look forward to your comments on my work, and thank you all for stopping by on this topic and leaving me a message.
See you soon for a new model, with black crosses or roundel, I don't know yet!

See you soon with this Yak 9 on the RFI forum.

The relative simplicity of the finished item does not indicate how much work you have put into it, especially the painting and weathering. The spinner in particularly impressive.

Bravo

Thanks Pierre, Håkan, Matt, Michael, John and Borsos.
Indeed, I was quite surprised not by the complexity of the camouflage, but by the way it looked on the model.
In the end, it's the “simplest” things that are the hardest to reproduce, without too many visible flaws and, above all, by trying to bring the camouflage "to life".
That's what I tried to reproduce with this strange BB'ing on the wings and by varying the effects with different varnishes, semi-matte and matte.
Thanks again for your messages.

Thank you Richard for your message.  :)
My future model flew over Holland or over the Balkans, I haven't decided yet...

I've just ordered some paintings with “RLM XX” written on them, so I think, my dear Richard, that the action will take place over the Balkans and Romania in 1941.

I think an Emil will show his nose very soon.
With a crazy camouflage, as was often the case over the Balkans in those days...
