Landrotten Highlander Posted December 7, 2023 Posted December 7, 2023 placeholder for my attempt at completing a modl within the timeframe set for this GB Subject of the build is Mosquito MM403, 464 Sqn. This aircraft was also involve in operation Jericho (the bombing and liberation of resistance fighters in Amiens Gestapo prison) which happened before the D-day period subject to this GB, but this is more of an interesting fact, as pictures exist of SB-V being armed for mission during this timeframe. Pictures and start of building log will commence once I have finished my last 2 assignments for uni (last one to be submitted by next week Friday, so not long, hopefully) Telepatu, Anthony in NZ, Uncarina and 9 others 12
MikeMaben Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 It's quite an intense model. lottsa detail. Have fun . Landrotten Highlander 1
Landrotten Highlander Posted January 6, 2024 Author Posted January 6, 2024 Right, started on new year's eve. Really impressed with how Tamiya engineered the wheels of this bird: each wheel is made up of 14 parts (not counting the wheel caps), and is engineered just so that no joint is visible. Have begun on other sub-assemblies before heading for the paint booth, so more pics to follow. Archimedes, Alain Gadbois, MikeMaben and 4 others 7
