More progress ...O-Level Maths at play to work out the amount to correct the dihedral angle .....altogether SOHCAHTOA.....8 mm high at the wingtip is the answer .

Looking like a WNW kit now!  If you ever wanna make a nice brown stain/varnish, Tamiya Clear orange mixed with the tiniest amount of Tamiya clear blue makes a nice brown...   Hafta play with it though.  Blue is way more potent and easily turns the orange into green.  If you have tamiya clear red, you can even play with it a bit more.

Well done Guy, it looks damned good to me so don't go binning it!  Yes, the next stage of getting the struts on and then rigging will in all likelihood test your patience, but take it slowly and if necessary walk away then come back to it.

Is it done? ....yes .....did I enjoy it? ...not really ...would I ever do another Academy Camel ? .... nope .

 

Although that's 2 biplanes for me in 2023 - The Glad was far more fun .

 

I was miffed to find out way into the build that the eyelets I built wouldn't fit into the brass tube turnbuckles I cut. Took it, that this was because I hadn't drilled out the tubing after cutting , but finally measured again and the wire was more like 0.2mm . TBH at that stage although I could have waited for more materials I just wanted to finish this otherwise it ran the risk of never getting completed
