mozart Posted December 18, 2025 Posted December 18, 2025 If you’re officially senile Peter, there’s absolutely no hope for the rest of us who really are! Glad that all’s well that ends well. geedubelyer, williamj, Landrotten Highlander and 1 other 2 2

tomprobert Posted December 18, 2025 Posted December 18, 2025 That’s a huge relief - I was worried I would have to get my old ID Models vac out again Glad to hear this is all back on track. I can’t wait! Tom airscale 1
mattlow Posted December 18, 2025 Posted December 18, 2025 I only just picked up on this Peter.. When i saw you were doing a Do 17, I thought 'must get that horizontal stabiliser incidence adjustment mechanism right'... and you look to have it all down to a T. No-one has ever got it right, I believe Vector did a set for the ICM kits, but even that just gave the impression.. You are getting the actual underlying structure/mechanism right.. Very nice.. Palm-tree Posted December 18, 2025 Posted December 18, 2025 Good news Peter. Now create a backup somewhere safe before doing any more work.... Out2gtcha, airscale, Kagemusha and 1 other 4
Artful69 Posted December 19, 2025 Posted December 19, 2025 Heya Peter … I hope you have a hard drive (SSD or other) that this is all stored onto … I do not trust the cloud in any capacity … Rog airscale and RCPlym 2
Greif8 Posted December 19, 2025 Posted December 19, 2025 Very happy to hear you found the file Peter. It would have been a terrible if all you excellent and hard work were lost. Ernest airscale and Out2gtcha 2
airscale Posted December 30, 2025 Author Posted December 30, 2025 so, back in business I will never get the 4 days back the canopy took, so I hope you like it ..still an awful lot to do here not least of which is deciding the moulding splits as there is no way the basic shapes mould like this.. there also seem to be a number of aerial fits - here the twin loop type, but I need to dig deeper as there are at least 5 different versions I have seen - will try and accomodate the most common / BoB type Need to decide the chosen airframe really, that way I can juts build what I see.. BTW any references welcome - I have all the Haffner manuals but if you have any interior shots / wheel wells / detailed exterior, please drop me a PM - like i guessed at the top of the mast aerial as there is some kind of fitting, but until I can see it I have to go with best guess TTFN Peter Fanes, Rowdy Rat, Gazzas and 21 others 24
mozart Posted December 30, 2025 Posted December 30, 2025 Wonderful Peter! Looks like an “interesting” masking situation! airscale 1

Hans Posted December 30, 2025 Posted December 30, 2025 (edited) Peter, you could try the Dornier Museum in Friedrichshafen, Germany. They might have what you are looking for. Edited December 30, 2025 by Hans airscale 1
