Is may just be my tired eyeballs, but it looks like there isn’t a clear plexiglass panel under the bomb aimer. I am not a expert on the Lancaster and as I am ready to put some paint on I feel inclined to paint over the clear panel with black. Did any MK Lancs not have a lower window? Be a tad more accurate. Any thoughts anyone?

Here is Ruhr Express and you can clearly see it has it:

Yep, and it looks like perhaps a early Mk also with the smaller blister…

Moving along, all so close to airbrushing the camo when after a few test fits I’ve decided to roll the dice and spot glue the frame to the inside canopy. Will trim off where the frame inserts into the body.  I used Tamiya’s cement.  Hope to get a cleaner and snugger fit of the canopy to the fuselage. Also this way I can glue the open sliding windows easier.

We’ll heck, I’ve come this far only to discover the kit decal is, well plain wrong in size and shape, so I’ll need to shorten it by about 13mm. Think I’ll try to make a copy of the real thing and make a stencil outline of it and move on…or care less and have it and the bomb markings out of kelter…. Here’s the kit decal vs the real deal…
