Here are a couple of suggestions to consider, mylar from party favors and AFV Club Anti Reflection Coating.

The party favors cost next to nothing and come in a variety of colors.

I put some double sided tape on a piece of glass, then pressed down a strip of red mylar onto the tape, cut it to size with and peeled it off the glass with a razor blade and stuck it to the model.

If you want to punch out a disc with a punch and die set you can do that but you need to place thin plastic sheet beneath it in order to prevent the mylar from tearing. Perfect for doing the MWS sensor circles with either material. RP Toolz offers a punch and die set that makes small enough diameter circles for what your doing. Below is a tiny mylar disc applied to a remote gun on a 1:35 Stryker.

A product that I really like for this sort of thing is AFV Clubs Anti Reflective Coating which has adhesive on it but still remains translucent. It also changes color depending on viewing angle.

Hope that helps, love your A-10!

Hi Olivier,

There are various options but one I would consider in your case is iridescent paint. Various companies, including Alclad or Green Stuff, released some for cars, trucks or dragster models.

Paint is really not an option in the sensor of the A-10 it's too small. That's what I usually do though for instance the targeting pod sensors.

For the glass, I'd try punching disks out of clear acetate, because the covers are clear glass. The problem is replicating what's behind the glass, those sensors.

I plan on having clear plexiglass that I will paint in a dark shape and the idea is to glue those 2 circles with iridescent tape

Thanks a bunch Greg, exactly what I need. That blue mylar is spot on and such a great solution. Thanks !!

I'll also try to source that AFV film although I don't want the film to change colours on my A-10

Great input ... and great models, thanks

Thank you all for your valuable inputs

Hi everyone...

in my city, it’s become trendy to decorate motorcycle headlights with iridescent transparent film; you can just go up and buy small pieces for a low price.

Perhaps there is something similar in your area.
