Apoxie Sculpt.  I just learned a new technique and it looks amazing!

Cheers,

Chuck

Thanks Chuck-

super easy too.
make a little ball. When it sets up after about 10 minutes (not super tacky anymore) roll it out on a sheet of glass into the diameter hose/cable you want. Cut it to length. Keep it wet with water, and pick it up with a wet Xacto blade. Position it where you want it, and let it dry in situ.

Wish I could claim ownership of this technique; but I saw it years ago when the Black Box F-16 cockpit was being mastered. I used it for all the cables in the back of my MH-6 Little Bird too-

Damn, I'm just blown away by the quality of the work here.   For some weird reason, I'm drawn to the black finish on the avionics and ammo magazines.  The sheen / finish just looks "right".  What paint were you using Pete?

A 40% flat would look perfect on those beautiful boxes.

I am absolutely loving this build! Your work is outstanding! I also have a full interior from Steve @Model_Monkey albeit for the early version, so it's great seeing how this is all going together. Just beautiful!
And thanks for the tip regarding the gun ports, that would have escaped me! Now we need Steve to give us wheel well interiors!

I see in your previous posts in this thread you said you had cut the plywood decal panels for the floor from a template Steve had given you? Is that shareable? ;)

Cheers

Hi Lain-

Thanks!

I’m pretty sure it is. Steve was kind enough to get me the floor as an extraction from his CAD file. I had to adjust it slightly by messing with the % on my printer..I bet Steve might be willing to link it to the Model Monkey site.

Or if Steve is OK with it, I could attach his file here-

cheers

OMG... going through your work, I feel like a kid looking at modeling mags and dreaming, "Man, someday...."

That’s funny John; because that’s how I feel about your work! The Boyington Corsair you did is one of my all-time favorites.

Ridiculously good…and I look back at it frequently for inspiration.

cheers

Pete
