Thanks Iain. Are the USAF/US AIR FORCE titles printed in black or insignia blue? It’s hard to tell from the photos.

Drastically altering the brightness/contrast in PhotoShop brings out this (one of the review images):

 

A bummer since the USAF lettering should have been printed with the same Insignia Blue as the national insignias.

Good question Rich - and something I should have checked!

 

The USAF/United States Air Force lettering on the sheet is printed black - I'm aware that TOs of the period would have specified Insignia Blue FS15044.

 

Can someone confirm this as absolute on the F-100D's of this period?

 

If so I'll add a note to the review.

F-100 Super Sabre USAF TO-1-1-4 can be considered an "absolute" since it is the official technical specification that covered the F-100D (and other F-100s) (click for larger image):
