Nice project Ali. Like many, having flown in a few of these during my time as an Air Cadet in the early 70's, my heart says 'Yes'. However, my retired salary says 'No'! :(

Nonetheless, it is a worthy and noble venture, so I wish you good luck with it and hope that, if you proceed with it, that you sell many copies.

Best regards

Derek

Well not wanting to commit or make promises but it is nudging along believe it or not. See the other thread on VAPOUR WARE projects, so I am taking it very steady on announcements until I know that I have everything all in hand and can give a projected release date. The good news is that my CAD skills have and are improving and with that this and future kits will be better than originally planned.
Sorry I am not making a huge commitment statement, but it is a project that I have personally wanted for many years.

I can't wait for this one as it will allow me to build a particular aircraft I have in my log book.

Sorry, missed this at the time. Care to tell us which one?

I suspect quite a few modellers in the UK might want to recreate an aircraft they flew in.

As an air cadet the Chipmunk was my first air experience flight.

Has this subject made any progress Ali?

You would be right there. In red, white and light aircraft grey with the black anti-dazzle panel,  it has to be one of the all-time classic aircraft anywhere.

I would love to have one!

I'm really torn between this and the previous LAG/dayglo strip scheme. My staff cadet activities spanned the changeover in the mid-70s.

I might need three - one for 3 AEF, one for EFTS and one for Britannia Royal Naval College Air Experience Flight which was only just up the road from me and very often its Chipmunks were seen over Cornwall & Devon.

Could even run to four if I wanted to do an Army Air Corps Chippy.

Hi Guys

I am glad that there is still interest in the project, as I said in June last year I do not want to promise what cannot be delivered. Since June, a huge amount has been going on in my life, and this project has not been at the forefront. Added to the fact that I have had a whisper in my ear that there could be a ‘kit’ on the way. I am not sure that it will happen, but was told early in the year it could be announced within 6 months……BUT I think we have heard that about Phantoms especially over how many years and nothing has really arrived as yet. So right now I am still cautious of making a commitment to the Chipmunk, for now at least. However I do stress it is something that I would like to have myself, so it is not ‘dead’ with me yet.
Other things and factors are happing in my life currently, nothing drastic, but there are and will be changes announced soon.

long live the Chipmunks😃
