Uncarina
Not a fan of the F-35, but this build of Tamiya’s new kit looks exquisite! Cheers, Tom LSP_K2, Rockie Yarwood, D.B. Andrus and 1 other
Jager
I am not a real F35 fan at all. After seeing this video and previously building Tamiya's P38, Tamiya looks like they have done it again and produced a well engineered and moulded kit. The lack of seam lines on the fuse and the way the interior locates, really will make the build a pleasure. The display options are welcomed. I hope Tamiya will be a bit more prolific in subjects and scales utilizing these kit engineering and moulding processes. Thanks for posting this video. Stokey Pete
Not my scale, but good heavens….the level of detail and engineering that’s obviously gone into that kit is mighty impressive. I found it hard to comprehend the detail levels in those weapons bays, in 1/48 scale. I do like the ‘beast mode’ load out option. LSP_K2
I saw a -35 perform this summer, and was most impressed. I'll be grabbing this kit, eventually. ScoobyDoo and Uncarina

scvrobeson
Those instructions are just fantastic. And with Tamiya engineering, you know it'll pretty much click together. Now, to just figure out the exact colors so I don't need to mix anything. Matt Uncarina
markiii
Wow! The paint diagram for the weapon's bay is mind boggling.
Uncarina
Sprue Brothers has a small number back in stock: https://spruebrothers.com/tam61124-1-48-tamiya-f-35a-lightning-ii/ I can neither confirm nor deny succumbing to this! Dave Williams
I’ve got a preorder on the way from Squadron. I think Dec 9 was supposed to be the official release date, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see them show up all over the place tomorrow. Dennis7423
When I saw this release, I swore that my Meng F-35 was good enough. But, after seeing the sprue shots, and now the instructions... there's jus no comparing the two. This Tamiya kit has so much more detail, for pretty much an identical price. I'll be ditching my Meng and adding one of these to the wish list. - Dennis S. Mount Juliet, TN USA Uncarina and ScoobyDoo
