ringleheim
That's a really nice looking model! What brand of metallic paints did you use? Do you recall what the 2 or 3 or 4 main colors were? It looks like you varied colors in quite a few places to get that beautiful, detailed appearance. ChuckD
ChuckD
Thank you! They're all Alclad II. From memory, I think I used the following shades. Aluminum Duraluminum Airframe Aluminum Polished Aluminum Dull aluminum If I had it to do again, I'd put a medium coat of aluminum across the whole thing, then pick out the desired panels with other colors. Zero77
I love it ! In my opinion it's one of the best era for the US aircraft, i love those pre-war schemes, and the P-40 really looked state of the art for the late 30's. ChuckD
aircommando130
Wow that's awesome! The winds of war are starting to blow...the AVG flying the shark mouth P-40 in China and shortly after scrambling a couple P-40's during the attack on Pearl Harbor. Great job...love that metal finish. I'm with ya...I have a lot of respect for guys that can pull it off. Cheers...Ron
R Palimaka
Spectacular result, even though it fought you. The NMF finish and the interior detail work is completely convincing. Thanks for sharing this, excellent work! Richard ChuckD
