This is the 1/32nd Fly Hawker Hurricane Mk2C in the markings of "FM-E", of Flight Commander Gerald Stapmea Stapleton, DFC & Bar 257 (Burma) Sqn, RAF Honiley, March, 1942.
The build thread can be found here. I've always loved the look of the cannon-equipped Hurricanes, very glad to have one in the collection at last.
Thanks to everyone who gave suggestions and made comments during the build, much appreciated!

Just fantastic - kudos on such a fine build and finish! I recall from the build thread you used chipping fluid? Curious what brand that was and how the chipping is performed (do you sort of scratch/pick at the locations you want chipped?)

This is probably the nicest night hurricane I have ever seen, to break down and weather monotonous black surface is not an easy task, you've done it on the highest possible level Iain, Bravo!

Cheers

@petrov27 Yes, I did use chipping fluid - Mig Scratches on some parts,(leading edge) and AK Heavy effects on others (wing root, etc).
On the areas where I wanted heavier wear I used a stiff brush to chip the paint, but for the more scratched effect, I used a piece of torn Scotch-Brite pad in a tweezer, and used that to scratch the paint. Very effective!
