Thanks, guys. Mike, just what I needed! A little piece of stainless tubing did the trick. Hard to see but hey, why not. Wings riveted and now the fun of getting all the pieces involved in attaching the wings. Hopefully the excellent fit continues here.

Now that it was time for the wings I did deviate from the instructions a little bit. ZM would have you install the wings and then install the sperate fillets after. I decided to install the fillets first and was left with a basic Hasegawa-like wing installation. Fit remains fantastic. I had my doubts about the wings with so many pieces having to come together but it was great.

Cheers, Jay

Thanks, guys. I wanted to go with the tall tail but had already committed to the 30mm cannon cover in the cockpit before I did much research. At that that point I found that pretty much only WNF produced G-14s had the 30mm and that all WNF G-14s had the short tail. Would anyone actually notice or care? Very few, but I haven't built a short tail 109 in some time so it's fine. Tall tail on the next one. Rafju, hopefully this meets your requirements :)

Thanks, fellows! Still plodding along. Painted the prop and spinner, which are nice. Kit decal for the spiral, weathering to come. I think everything is done now with the engine compartment now that the MG131s are installed with their associated parts. With the long weekend I am hoping to be close to done with this thing. Probably won't happen of course :)

Nice job Jay and yes all the greatest plans hey. The wife has been decorating lately and I keep laughing and telling her not to plan that she wants such and such done by a certain day, explained I used to do this with my builds but never ever works and just leads to disappointment. Hopefully she got the idea! The G-14 is looking very nice though.

Thanks, guys. Well, I ran into my first real fit issue. Probably my fault since I don't recall anyone else complaining about it. If I screwed up I did it on both wings though since the problem was getting the radiator flaps installed. Not sure what happened but I ended up with a fair amount cutting, sanding, filing, etc. to get the hinges to go. I'll pay more attention on the next one.

I did get after the painting today and got quite a bit done. Lots of back and forth touching up this, that, and the other but somewhat satisfied. Mostly Mr. Color but also MRP and Tamiya paint as well.
