Wooden Surfaces on WW1 Kits

Hello!

Bad weather outside, so I picked up one fuselage half from my WW1 kits stash (an Albatros D.III part) and do some painting with the transparent "wood" colors from Vallejo.

I mixed different "shades" with the two colors and painted them on a surface of "Radom-Tan" from Mr.Paint (MRP).

And here is the result...what do you think?

And the best thing is, that there was no drying time.

Looks terrific and should translate well on to propellers.

HHMMMMM.......Looking really good. Didn't know such transparent colours existed. This needs looking into.
