Steve Eagle
I am working on the ICM Yak-9, a wonderful kit by the way, and I want to do Golovachev's bird as found on Massimo Tessatori's site. However, I thought I had a variety of victory stars in my spares box, and I found that I have none. Does anyone make a decal sheet with a variety of these victory stars? LSP_Ray
No, but I have a sheet with a myriad of Soviet aces. Let me see what I got. What style stars where they? Or a link to the markings? LSP_K2 and Rockie Yarwood
Steve Eagle
massimotessitori.altervision.org/soviet it is under Yakovlev Yak-9 profiles by Michael Sekula Yak-9M P Y Golovachev Red stars with white outline and I count 31 of them. it is a neat scheme in my opinion. LSP_Ray
I pulled out my decals. They are Begemot 32-014, as seen below. 25 aircraft, but not Golovachev's, and only 22 red and white kill markings. I do have two sets of the decals, if you want to buy one of them.
Steve Eagle
Ray, thanks for the offer, but I will go with getting the Montex sheet. The stars will end up being consistent that way. Again, thanks. Will post results later.

These are YAK-3 decals, although they are close related with YAK-9....not the same
Steve Eagle
I have ordered the Montex mask set. Thanks for the info. I'll probably be able to use the insignia stars- depending on their size. The victory star decal should also work out well. Maybe someone will issue a decal set after I get this done
