pacificmustang
G’day All This one is from a few years ago, but I don’t think I ever posted it here. Its the Kittyhawk P-39Q converted to an RAF Airacobra 1, by way of using Mastercaster fishtail exhausts. I had planned to replace the kit 37mm with a 20mm and leave the gun bay open, but in the end could not satisfy myself with the details The kit had a few issues fit wise, nothing too major, but from memory the wings needed shimming. Markings we’re painted on using a mask set from Maketar for the SH kit. Theres a few flaws in the build, but it remains one of my favourites. thanks for looking Bruce daveculp, Hartmann352, Troy Molitor and 44 others

nmayhew
the paint work looks very catching there are a few areas where the construction looks a bit dodgy eg rear canopy join to vertical frame which does not look great in the close-up 3rd pic - was this bad fit?
