2023 LSP Group Build suggestions thread

I'm not much for group builds, but I think it would be fun to have a monochrome build - all black and white schemes, as a few of our members have done beautifully here. Learning a new technique that most of us haven't tried might be interesting. The NMF idea might do this as well, providing it required the use of foil.

Show your engine(s)!

Models build with major engine access hatches open or engines removed onto a dolly or stand. Radial engines qualify only if the cowlings are opened up.

Nowadays there are a lot of kits with beautiful engines or AM engines. Time to show them!

I like that, great idea!

"Step out the comfort zone" -any aircraft other than one defined as an LSP ........or worse .....what about something with tracks and a gun

Step out of the comfort zone....scratch-build something?....

a) modifying a kit with a scratch-built element

b) follow Tom Probert's stellar example by scratching the details for a vacform

c) go old school and scratch-build an entire airframe

...and Panzerwomble, the only potential LSP candidate I know of that has tracks and a gun is that crazy Russian flying tank thing; the Antonov A-40 крылья танка. Now that would have to be scratch-built!

Cheers

Hmm… b) and c)

I could continue on with the vac Anson. It is ready for its scratch built interior.

The ZM Bf-109G 14 is a great candidate and the Dragon Bf-109E series.

"Out the Zone 2" or "Back to the '40's" - any LSP but built from Balsa/ paper not plastic as the main material . Plenty of Guillows candidates out there .
