Does Volks Japan charge when you pre-order?  The yen price of 14800 is only a little over $112, so it might be better to lock in that price now while the exchange rate is in our favor instead of paying Volks USA $160.

I think they'll also charge you shipping from Japan too so it may be a wash.  I know they you shipping at Volks USA (which is primarily why I wait until Sprue Brothers has stock and  then I get discounted, if not free shipping).

Has anyone in the US ordered from Volks Japan?  I checked the price of the kit on there, and it’s $162 shipped.  On the Volks USA site, it’s $160 for the kit, plus you’ll probably have to add $20-$25 for shipping, so ordering from Japan is cheaper.  My big concern with this is the format that Volks seem to using for the shippings address, specifically the postal code (zip code).  They appear to be putting it at the front of the street address, on the same line, so the zip appears to be part of the house number.  Do they really do it this way on the shipping label?  My concern is that it gets returned as undeliverable because the street address makes no sense.  Any experiences?

I thought the rule was - if you live in USA you can only order from Volks USA - or a “friend” shop …

Volks Japan handle local and international orders for everywhere else.

I have ordered from Volks Japan and had the items shipped to a U.S. address.  My address on the order site was oddly arranged but the package arrived without incident and was correctly addressed.

I've noticed the same thing with how my address in Australia is formatted on their site.  However, orders get here reliably, and usually very quickly too.

One more thing, if I can deviate from the subject a little.  ZM's site is currently updated with a heap of upcoming releases and re-releases.  I'll be lodging a pre-order today :D.

Cheers,

Michael

Bf110s had the same, although in the case of the Hs129, it was probably necessary due to the very cramped cockpit and small IP.

The Ju-88s had them on the nacelles also IIRC. Seems as though they could be hard to read under certain lighting conditions , In know with my eyesight I'd rather they be in the cockpit with me al the same.
