1/32 Hasegawa Spitfire Mk. Vb Nightfighter, "Little Audrey" of No.111 Squadron, Debben, Essex, December 1941

I'm pretty sure this falls under the 25% started category. I started some of the Eduard Interior pieces and some general test fitting, all parts off the sprue. I some aftermarket Quickboost Exhausts, Master Barrels, I probably have a Barracuda wheel set floating around somewhere. AIMS decals for the Monotone Spitfires, beautiful set that also goes with the PR conversions sets, a very good bargain considering all the extra Non-PR markings.

Progress so far has been slow. Gathered some detail sets to assist in the cockpit and such. The PE seat from Eduard is just awful, the basically copied the Hasegawa part which is a way oversized recliner chair for a RAF Pilot who has a huge butt or Flying Hippo. I'll be using the Barracuda detail for sure. "Resin that's good enough to eat"

This kit was started by previous Modeler who glued the side cockpit parts in w/o detailing them. I removed the parts which didn't survive which is okay since I have another doner kit to provide those replacement parts, a Aires cockpit is slated for that kit. Some PE elements installed on the replacement kit parts.

Cleaned it up and assembled the Eduard PE on the internal frame which goes behind the cockpit, I placed some plastic supports to give the frame something more to adhere to.

Thanks for all the encouragement, more to follow soon.

Got some interior work done.

I have some comparisons for you to see, kit vs Barracuda Cast. It is the obvious choice if you plan on doing a project like this.

Kit on left, Barracuda, Eduard

The Pipe Fitters Union and Electricians are getting things going in the right direction.

The Airframers started hammering out the Wheel wells for Eduard PE to follow. The Tritool or something similar makes quick work of this

Sorry, I will not be able to finish this one, too many things came up the past two months. We put on a Model contest in October and it ate all my free time. Right now not much free time for hobbies with Holiday planning with the family. Busy, Busy, Busy.

Respectfully,

JB

Sorry to hear that.  I was looking forward to seeing how this one turned out.  You got off to a great start.  Thanks for letting us know, anyway.

Cheers,

Michael
