I was wondering did anyone ever do seamless intakes........also new landing gear? I know SAC made some but they are a little lacking.

I know G Factor makes the landing gear. It is much stronger than the SAC landing gears.

 

i don't know if it is still in production, check with spruebrothers

SAC Gear is weaker/softer than plastic.  Not recommended.

I built 2 of the Revell “E” (air quotes there) in the early/mid nineties and they’re both still standing quite happily on their Revell plastic gear legs, shakily…. but still standing.

Like me after a ride in my buddies new Camaro at warp 5….standing but shakily.

for detail? Can’t speak to that side of the issue, no idea whether the kits are accurate or not.

Will you be posting pictures when building? Would like to see that!

my  plastic legs broke after 30 years, used SAC and had no probelms since. these seem to be of different materials/batch

In the long haul I would think the SAC would stand up better. The plastic in the Revell kits of that era gets noticeably brittle over time.I have sprues from that kit in the pile, and they almost snap just looking at them.
