hurribomber Posted May 16 Author Posted May 16 The bracket that connects the tailwheel oleo to the fuselage structure took a few hours of work. But I think the result is ok. Thomas JayW, Model_Monkey, CODY and 10 others 13

hurribomber Posted June 16 Author Posted June 16 The tailwheel is installed (with a small unfortunate incident - the M 0.6mm tap broke off in one of the four holes in the mounting block. 😡💥 On a full-size Hurricane this would be a “no go” - on my model I let it pass…🙃 JayW, StevSmar, denders and 7 others 10
hurribomber Posted June 16 Author Posted June 16 The rear upper bracing wires are originally flat steel straps. Here is the original at Hawker Restorations. Landrotten Highlander, KiwiZac, JayW and 3 others 5 1

JayW Posted June 16 Posted June 16 Honestly - I have to look closely to tell which photos are the model and which are the full scale aircraft. What a great effort here! hurribomber 1

Mal_Belford Posted June 17 Posted June 17 Like this very much, if havent mention it earlier, your build resembles alot of Rojas Bazan...this level of building. all looks fantastic...this is art imo hurribomber 1
hurribomber Posted June 21 Author Posted June 21 Thank you all for the kind words. Next is the frame for the rear access panel on the port side. I've been racking my brains about how to make the Fairey fastener. I'm trying it with electric ferrules, which I cut off and shape into the desired oval form with a self-made tool. Just an example of each will do. So if it says 15 inches, is that still 15 inches when relative to a vertical measurement. I learned the hard way that digital repro's of these sorts of drawings get all sorts of distortions. For example I am working with Typhoon drawings and every single one is squashed laterally no matter where I got it... Peter hurribomber, geedubelyer, Philbucknall and 3 others 2 4
