Mark P
A quick glance on FB reveals many Border customers who bought their new Lancaster are reported broken clear parts. Apparently parts placed in the top of the boxing are suffering from blemishes and prone to breakage. Possibly crushed in transit. Gary Needham
This is already reported upon elsewhere Mark thank you. I have already emailed and alerted the company to this problem from whom I have bought mine (already paid in full) to check the kit (before) they despatch it to me as I don't want a 3-ways conversation with the seller and Border Models trying to source new parts for a £600 kit! Others may want to consider doing likewise..? Gary
Mark P
Thanks Gary. I wasn't aware of the other posting. A sad situation for such an expensive kit. Well a one-off can be anticipated, I was shocked to see how extensive the problem appears to be. The bottom line is to check your kit upon receipt. Rick Griewski
Revell Ju-88A-1 kits went through a similar issue. IIRC the company changed the sprue organization with in the box. I lucked out with two spare wind screens left over from my Ju-188 and Ju-388 conversions. Revell sent me replacements right before the bankruptcy crap. I lucked out again.
