Kagemusha
Just read on Britmodeller, regarding a facebook post; "John's hands I was at the hospital yesterday to see the latest MRI reports and received the sickening news that I have the rare Kienböck's disease! 3 out of the 8 bones in each hand have large cysts in them as the bones are being killed. There is no cure and it is progressive. So this together with carpal tunnel syndrome has basically stopped my life in its tracks these last 15 months and it is now impossible to continue with AIMS. I am still trying to process the shocking news and as the only way to slow it down is to do almost nothing I have to decide how best to use the years I have left with my hands as they are before they get worse. I am in terrible pain 24/7 and there is currently no medication to help this condition. It is a bitter blow for me as I had hoped limiting distribution to just Hannants would enable me to keep going but I cannot even fold an A-4 paper in half without difficulty and can hardly drive so I need to make plans to stop." Truly heart breaking news, here's a link to John's products at Hannants, the later 3D pilot figures are especially superb, not sure if he's paid in advance, or off sales, if the latter I'm sure the income would be most welcome. esarmstrong, Fanes, Tolga ULGUR and 30 others
monthebiff
Very sad news indeed, I did notice the other day that Hannants had some stock of various items so purchased accordingly for that very reason. Regards. Andy BiggTim

Mark P
Sad news indeed. FWIW, I have the greatest admiration/respect for your product line. The study of WW2 German aircraft can really test us at times. I sincerely hope you can find some relief for your situation. Mark Proulx monthebiff
LSP_Ray
Really sad news, John. Your products are top notch and no one should have to go through that. You would think modern medicine would have an answer.
thierry laurent
Terrible news. John is a very talented modeller and a person really dedicated to help others. I'm very, very sad reading this. At least it looks the diagnosis has been finalized but discovering there is no treatment is really a shock.
