oyoy5
I don’t think there a whole Lotta shortcuts around this other than scratch building the entire fuselage is probably a better option
LSP_Mike
Sean, FSM had an article many years ago showing how to simply cut the fuselage to thin it down. There were some other tweaks in there as well. LSP_K2
Rick Griewski
Google “building the Revell Fokker Dvii 1/28”9 Many builds with various approaches. Including not much worry about accuracy. Enjoy LSP_K2
europapete
the best way is to get a WNW's D7. KiwiZac
LSP_Mike
Yeah, but this concerns the 1/28 Revell kit. Revell planned on proceeding with some more 1/28 kits, but the DVII was treated roughly when released. Builds ok, but ....fat. she can be fixed and made presentable. europapete
Tell me about it! We just bought a 1990 Formula 26 PC. Lovely boat, but we have been dumping $$ into it to get it ready for the season. We launched last week but there is still some TLC to do.

DonH
Given that all kits have some level of inaccuracy, one option is to build it OOB. Concentrate on perfecting the fit and finish. I understand that may not be enough in this case.

Yes, in this case there’s a GLARING inaccuracy: the top wing’s “inverse taper.” The top surface of the wing should be flat, NOT the bottom as the kit wing halves are molded. oyoy5
How did Revell In 1995 with so much information and drawings mess up so bad on accuracy, doesn’t make much sense but it is what it is I guess. Revell also made/makes kids toys. Make very good sense to make model planes with big pieces.
