I've just now received two of the Lightning canopy sets and these are stunning (as is the armoured windshield & shrouded exhausts for the Ju 88).

Fantastic work Ali!  It really improves the look of the Lightning kit with the chunkier framing outlines and angles.

So, the Lightning canopy interests me a lot…….how will it fit the Echelon Lightning is the huge question? Any thoughts Ali?

Simple answer it will not fit the Echelon kit. The good news all being well I hope to produce one for the Echelon vacform in the next few months.

Great as at my over 20 years ago built old Echelon kit, canopy "has yellowed" and I still have an unassembled Echelon kit.

  • 3 months later...

So much potential here for a corrected A-7 Corsair canopy as well.   I have the older Zacto vac correction, but he has discontinued it due to one reason or another.   Trumpeter really made a mess of the front end on that kit.

A-7 canopy and upgrade is a distinct possibility, well at some point……no promises any more as to when.

Su-27 less likely as I do not have the kit, and there is the single and the two seater to consider, the other point is I have no references on the aircraft or for that matter on any modern Russian aircraft, not my area of interest or knowledge.
