Scotsman
I've never heard of Amalgam models , but oh man .. I wonder if they're hiring...
LSP_K2
No way I'd ever pay that much for a model.
thierry laurent
Another way to put some relativity regarding the price of models? Jennings is right. For that price you can get a 1/1 scale car!
vince14
I've seen several of their cars and, frankly, they make all of us look like rank amateurs. Every single item on their cars is hand built from scratch. They really are more works of art than models. As for the cost, their main clients are motoring, engineering, and motorsports businesses who want a bit of a show-stopper for the main office reception, or to give them away as corporate gifts (not forgetting the children of Middle-East billionaires who are too young to drive a real one...). The 1/4 Mercedes F1 cars in the video, for example, will have been commissioned by Mercedes themselves to give away to corporate sponsors. LSP_Ron
Just goes to show things are only worth what someone is willing to pay for them. As a corporate advertising item or a toy for the Prince of Persia the cost is peanuts, as a cost to an average collector.... can't see it.
Phartycr0c
Iv'e certainly been guilty of making the odd extravagant purchase but never that high up the cost spectrum!

scvrobeson
Their car models are truly 2nd to none, they're scale art pieces more than just display models. Matt
