I think I saw on Revell's release page that it is an all new tool, not a re-issue of the old hasegawa kit. Radub
When Revell created the tooling for their Bf 109, they created the parts for a G-10 Erla, G-6 and G-2/G-4. Considering that the tooling was made ten years ago, it is not really new, but practically it is a “new tool” because it was never issued before. The model was supposed to be launched a while ago, but the changes in Revell’s status and management a few years back delayed things. Scale32
I'll be getting a couple then. Cheers Bevan
Tony T
I have one on pre-order for about £28. Looking forward to it. No idea what the markings options will be. As with the G-6 and G-10 releases the kit will benefit from Brassin legs and a Löök IP set. And the Revell Hurricane IIB abd ICM Yak-9T this year too. Eggscellent. Rick Griewski
Ten years ago! Yikes. Revell really does need to get on with it.

Yeah, the design and production phase was 10 years ago, the Bf 109 G-10 Erla was launched in early-2013. Time flies when you are having fun. It's the Revell kit with a flat inner wing section, minus the G-6 or G-10 upper wing wheel fairings.

Top of cowl is a bit different too. Gun troughs on current, Revell offering may be more correct for this early variant. Chek
Chek
Someone mentioned words to that effect when I was inquiring about adding a 109 E-4 canopy and losing the nose cowl intakes to get an F.

I really hope Revell actually does an F. The Trumpeter one isn't accurate and the Hasegawa one goes for ridiculous prices. Admittedly some won't be capable of adapting it, but what can you do? wunwinglow
