Woody V Posted January 8, 2022 Share Posted January 8, 2022 Comparing the Revell A-8 to the Hasegawa A-8, I noticed that the Revell kit features armored cockpit and canopy armor. I wasn't aware that this armor existed because I've never seen a photo or ever heard it mentioned. Was this a field modification or factory build? Was it commonplace or rare? Wackyracer Posted January 8, 2022 Share Posted January 8, 2022 The A-8/R8 was similar to the A-8/R2, but fitted with heavy armour including 30 mm (1.2 in) canopy and windscreen armour and 5 mm (0.20 in) cockpit armour.
