Ok after about 2 weeks of no progress, I have made some progress.

This is major redesign #4. Here is most of the fuselage.

And my rendition of the tailcone, not perfect but way better than my first.

So progress that I am happy with. Still lots to do but a major milestone never the less.

Finally some progress.

I have been able to model the nose on the Vigi. It has been a struggle as I really don't know what I am doing . I have also added the center canopy support.

So hopefully some more serious progress in the next few days now that I have the nosecone done.

I am not nearly as talented as the creator of the other Vigi build. Thats ok, just hoping to slowly get better.

Progress, albeit slow.

I have stalled out in the last few weeks. I was having trouble with the designing the nose and tail.

Well I have made definite progress on both ends. Here is the proof.

Starting from the left.

Raw nose cone with some rough edges sanded out.

Nose and windscreen areas joined, sanded and primed.

Cockpit section added. Tube for pitot inserted into the nose.

Original nose configuration. Shape of nose is off and too short.

Tail cone first print. A little rough but close.

You and me both. I've long thought if you could put the time in to even remotely begin to do cool things, even small things that you want that no one produces (antennas and pylons and pitot tubes and the like) it could be a very worth while investment in a fair amount of time and cash.

Great progress Dan, what a huge improvement compared with your first try! You may want to have a look into the "surface" part of Fusion; you'll have to add material thickness afterwards, but it enables you to create more "flowing" surfaces compared with solid modelling. Anyway, I can't wait to see more progress on your Vigi!
