Let´s share some photos of the kit and some thoughts, but don´t want to do a review:

My conclusion seeing rockets, different canopies, another gunsight and provisions for the radar antennas on the tail - maybe there is a PTO/Korean War P-51 D or even a P-51 K in the pipeline...

Makes some kind of sense that Eduard had a hand in the decals. They have released a raft of 1/32 P-51D decals (4 sheets I think I’ve seen) recently. Some of them nice lesser known schemes that are tempting. Nice that they have gone with lesser known schemes not the same old ones. Contrary to popular belief there was more than 2 or 3 units and a dozen pilots in the 8th Air Force. Says he, bravely whilst doing his Tamiya P-51D in Big Beautiful Doll markings, but at least its the Yellow Nosed version!

Amen to that.  I'm doing "The Comet" of the 339th FG in the Revell GB as we speak.

Hmm, $52 at Hannants, plus likely at least $20 shipping to the US.  Seems hard to justify over getting the Tamiya D/K kit, which is still on sale for $99 with free shipping at Tamiya USA.  Just remember getting the first release of the Revell kit going for $20-$25 range.

Yeah - no reason for the Revell there, right? I thought w*e* bought it since it is cheap and still decent? (And if you have no interest in the engine and the gimmicky options?)

I have two Tamiya in the stash - but I still think about this, or the Early one.. Since when i mess up, it will be cheaper to replace or feel less when i bin it.. ;)

"Mainly Military" on Evilbay doing them for £42.99 free postage in UK .

Personally think Hannant's always a bit overpriced .

On some things.. but they have such a wide range you can usually get most things from just them? I used to buy most there but since Brexit, sadly not.. Now it is just decals, mainly.. They have a great range of those! For me the best option, usually.. I just wish they posted them without the receipe on the outside so the customs punish me.. lol

Well, another thumbs up from me for Jadlam.

My late version P-51D arrived yesterday in a very robust cardboard container that stretched well beyond the dimensions of the actual box.

They are very rarely not the cheapest and charge no shipping fees, plus their reward scheme (unlike most!) is actually worthwhile.
(One 1/32 plane gives you at least £5 off your next purchase)

Definitely my no.1 supplier currently.
