Juggernut
The last time I looked, which was admittedly several years ago, these kits were a dime-a-dozen. Now i can't find one anywhere. I'm not looking to buy one, I actually won one in a raffle not too long ago and was wondering what the status of these kits was. The kit is fully shrink wrapped but the box top is somewhat concave due to the shrink wrap "shrinking" a little too much (that's just my opinion). I checked the sold items on Ebay and there were a few that have been sold in the recent past. The selling prices weren't too out of line (between $25-$40) so this isn't going to be a collector kit, so I just may keep it for while. Just curious about the availability in general...I know it's a Hasegawa mold but other than that, I don't know much about it. kalashnikov-47
It came with a set of early type resin wheels that were never issued with the Hasegawa kit. I have one I built as a G-2 and a second one I got from ebay years ago for $15. I'm sure it's worth more than that now. My guess it would be on par with comparable kits in Hasegawa boxes. LSP_Mike
It's a Hase 109G. Straightforward build, upgradeable, tons of markings options. LSP_K2 and hworth18
James Rademaker
Just built this exact model during the spring. It’s a nice model with good fit. I replaced the kit wheels with a pair of resin wheels. You will have to add the brake lines to the main gear struts. Jim
Rick Griewski
I have a couple. One was used for a conversion to an F-2. Last time I looked it was still reasonably priced on eBay. LSP_K2
MikeMaben
Yeah it has the earlier narrow wheel/tire (resin) which means no wing bumps. They switched to the larger wheel/tire and wing bumps in the summer of '42 so you can only do an early G-4 with the kit parts.
