Uncarina Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 Hello Everyone, I have been quietly puttering away on the superb little IBG P.11C. The fit, engineering, and detail is amazing. The only aftermarket I've gotten is the BitsKreig spinner, propellors, and headrest, Yahu IP, and a set of Techmod decals, which I might use as inspiration to create a set of masks. I painted everything so far with Tamiya AS-12, weathered with Tamiya panel liners and Flory Washes, and annealed the lap belts. And no, this is not a distraction from my Lancaster build, which I am also working on! Cheers, Tom In both of these photos you can see the kit spinner base on the left, the BitsKreig part on the right. adameliclem, Rockie Yarwood, Greg W and 11 others 14
James Rademaker Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 Excellent work. I will watching the rest of your build. Jim Uncarina 1
Uncarina Posted September 14, 2021 Author Posted September 14, 2021 Thanks Kev and James! Cheers, Tom
Jaro Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 Nice start. The model in the box looks outstanding and hopefully builds well. Mine is waiting for longer evenings (autumn/winter comes soon) so I'll be following this thread carefully! Uncarina 1
Uncarina Posted September 14, 2021 Author Posted September 14, 2021 Thanks Jaro! I can only say great things about this kit. The photoetch is a bit delicate, especially the seat frames, but it really makes everything look in scale. I love the approach IBG took overall. Cheers, Tom
Dennis7423 Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 Looking great Tom! Keep it up! - Dennis S. Thornton, CO USA Uncarina 1
Uncarina Posted September 14, 2021 Author Posted September 14, 2021 Thanks Dennis! I appreciate it. At this point it is just flying together! Cheers, Tom Dennis7423 1
Uncarina Posted September 14, 2021 Author Posted September 14, 2021 And on that note: The fit has been mainly flawless, and I've used very little filler: CA to blend the seams and a swipe of Vallejo putty applied and blended with water at the rudder join and the forward cowling. Pete Fleischmann Posted September 15, 2021 Posted September 15, 2021 Damn Tom. Thats awesome! great job on what looks like a really nice kit! cheers P Uncarina 1
Uncarina Posted September 15, 2021 Author Posted September 15, 2021 Thanks Pete! I’m tempted to finish her in a silver scheme to show off the rivets and unique shape, but those markings are calling out to me. Like a WNW kit, once the engine is done and cockpit sealed up, things move fast! Cheers, Tom

Thank you! They are an inexpensive upgrade, and the headrest, spinner, and propellors fit really well. Cheers, Tom Edited September 15, 2021 by Uncarina Kagemusha 1
