Hello folks. Does anyone make a Erla canopy replacement for the Hasegawa Bf 109G-14 kit? I've searched here and on google but found nothing. Thanks!

Hi Francis,

Looks like a few Tasman 1/32 Erla canopy for Hasegawa are available at aviationmegastore. Can’t vouch for their quality as I’ve never used a Tasman product, but they might be worth a shot.

Cheers

Adam

You could also try Erla canopy from the Revell G-6 or G-10 kits.

Thanks for the suggestion. Are they as thick as the Hasegawa ones?  0.040 inch. I want to detail the inside of the framing and don't want the thing to look awkwardly thick.

This is the Squadron canopy.  Found on page 3 below.  If you look closely you will be able to see the exterior frame is below the  canopy return,

allowing one to locate the tube frame in position.  Page 10.

This is the problem with trying to inner frame the Hasegawa canopy.  The forward top aspect of the exterior frame is the same depth as the plastic, so an

interior frame falls below the exterior frame.

Sincerely,

Mark
