Francis
Hello folks. Does anyone make a Erla canopy replacement for the Hasegawa Bf 109G-14 kit? I've searched here and on google but found nothing. Thanks!
dodgem37
Try Squadron. I know they sold them in the past because I bought a bunch. Sincerely, Mark LSP_K2

Can’t vouch for their quality as I’ve never used a Tasman product, but they might be worth a shot. Cheers Adam LSP_K2
Francis
Thanks Adam, but at $48.00 shipping to Canada, I'll pass. LSP_K2

Rick Griewski
Years ago I was able to buy extras from Hasegawa. I also have at vac from Tasman/Falcon. Let me check to see which canopy I have. IIRC the G-10 and K-4 kits had different spines aft of the canopy. Please send me a PM to sort out the details LSP_K2 and Francis

Thunnus
You could also try Erla canopy from the Revell G-6 or G-10 kits. G-10 Erla Clear Sprue G-6 Clear Sprue LSP_K2, Gazzas, Francis and 1 other

Are they as thick as the Hasegawa ones? 0.040 inch. I want to detail the inside of the framing and don't want the thing to look awkwardly thick. dodgem37
This is the Squadron canopy. Found on page 3 below. If you look closely you will be able to see the exterior frame is below the canopy return, allowing one to locate the tube frame in position. Page 10. This is the problem with trying to inner frame the Hasegawa canopy. The forward top aspect of the exterior frame is the same depth as the plastic, so an interior frame falls below the exterior frame. Francis
Wow Mark, you did an excellent job on the 109! Thanks for the tips on how you went about detailing this area. I bookmarked it and will use it as reference. Great work! dodgem37
