mc65
Great work, Stefan! about the over engineered kit, I would like to say my impression: I was puzzled about it, and tried several approaches to minimize the troubles I expected from it. well, in the end the only serious weak point I found was on the landing gear and, having already built Hasegawa and Trumpeter 109, definetly I elect the Revell the winner: the qualities of both design and styrene itself, coupled with the more than reasonable cost, make it The One-O-Nine kit, IMHO. Phantom2
Yes, considering the detail, fit and price this kit is a bargain and it has been a very enjoyable build so far! A bit complicated, yes, Difficult, No, Revell has managed to pull it off very well, I do like the kit! Only thing that really is needing replacement are the landing gear that looks a bit weak, but I have the solid Eduard Brassin legs for that. The other detail sets I have used are only icing on the cake, really not needed. Stefan Edited February 10, 2022 by Phantom2 MikeMaben
Phantom2
Hi All! Stabilizator and rudder glued in place…. The wheel wells painted WEM RLM02 Light Grey-Green…. The stick glued in place once again…. The sight and the windscreen…. I won´t use the "Beules" so I filled the holes with plastic rods. These small inlets don´t look so good… Luckily, Barracuda supplied them in the exhaust set…. They look sooo much better! The rear part of the canopy glued…. More to come soon…. Phantom2
Hi and thanks to all! More Black primer and now I can add some missing parts, first a desert airfilter from Quickboost… The fit was outstanding and as in most cases with QB parts, they fitted with minimal work… Next detail to add was the ”gunboats” under the wings, once again BarracudaCast parts, perfectly done and outstanding fit…. This set also included two sexy metal barrels from Master…. …and they fit perfectly against the wing and the simple instructions are crystal clear where they will go. They are handed so be aware! Bad (I know, I know...) photo, but I can tell You that the detail on these are outstanding, as always with `Cuda parts! More to come soon!
