Excellent choice for their first kit. From what I see I'm in for at least one. I'm sure a lot of folks are disappointed (Sorry John1 you'll have to wait for your P-51D ), but if done right it'll be  a good seller and may lead to bankrolling some interesting kits in the future. One thing I noted when I visited their website was that they made an appeal for good reference material. Can't produce an awesome kit of (fill in the blank) with a couple of old grainy black and white photos

Didn't they state they were intending to produce relatively simple kits - a bit like Hasegawa? - so maybe not.

So let me get this straight - They aren’t doing a P-51D???    SMH. 
 

Question - I’ve always wanted to do a Malta Vb/c.    Only issue was that the existing kits I would start with (Revell / Hase) left much to be desired.   Assuming this kit is all it appears to be,  is there a conversion set out there to turn this into a V?

Makes sense. One of the members of the team used to produce a range of short-run 1/72 injection-moulded Spitfire kits. He would certainly be familiar with the topic.

Good choice, should be a solid seller both for us diehards and the new to the hobby people. Hurricane would be the next obvious release and then to round out the BoB single engine fighters a Defiant (yeah, I know that won't happen but a man can dream!)

Dang. I was really hoping for something out of WW1 or the inter-war period that we hadn't seen before. I'll still support them and get a Spitfire, but I was hoping for more of a WnW subject.

So what’s the difference between this and the Mk. IIa kitted by Revell?  I know there are a few issues with Revell kit, but there are Barracudacast corrections available.
