Auster T.7 WE552 Rebuild

Recommended Posts

I got asked on another forum if I could show pics of my Auster I am rebuilding to stock military configuration and flight.  I thought most of you knew.

Here she is

You can see who my modelling gets distracted at times, 11 years so far and a labor of love for authenticity and completeness

Cheers

Gotta love an Auster, and it looks superb in the silver and dayglo scheme. I notice it seems to have an RAF serial number in the first pic and "HKG4" (if I've read that correctly) in the second. Transferred to Hong Kong Auxiliary AF perchance?

Wow, Anthony, that is some cracking good work. You are a bit further along than I am with my restoration, but I am working towards the same stage as you to get my fuselage back together and on it’s gear again. Looking absolutely awesome!

Thor, who would rather be working on his Luscombe than an E-2D today……
