A-10C Warthog

I feel your pain.  Thank God I was able to get the CED exterior details/engine replacement parts.  It allowed me to junk the kit engines, of which I had heard uncomplimentary things.

Keep up the good work,

Tim W.

Hello,

I don’t turn them. I use plastic rods and Tamiya flexible tape.

I guess I forgot to take pictures while I made the ones I used but I made another to show you. Also, I measured how long it took by playing my favorite Van Halen album, “Diver Down”. I took from the beginning all the way to “Little Guitars”, I played this song twice then I finished. Total time: about 26 minutes.

Great response! Thanks for the tutorial and sorry about the late response.

Hello,

I think I’m done improving the engine nacelles. Those boogers were pretty bad in detail.
The A-10 has a mixture of round head and countersunk rivets. Since I was in no mood to replace what was sanded off, I re-scribed them.
All this work is not accurate and I don’t care much.  To me, the nacelles still look like the Hog’s.

I am using the GT upgrade, the intakes are quite nice but the exhausts have huge rivets and they have to go.

This keeps getting better and better and I don't even particularly care for jets!  LOL.  Some really awesome efforts going on here. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Thank you so much. I’ll keep trying.

Thanks guys.

I had a busy and hot week and as a result, I was too tired after work.

I was able to do some benching today.

The elevators have a big gap at the hinge point and desperately asked for surgery with plastic card.
