I'm not sure whose markings I'm going to use, I have to do a little research. I think I want to do a late WWII aircraft instead of a Korean War aircraft Perhaps these markings that come in the box. BradG Posted June 2, 2021 Share Posted June 2, 2021 The aircraft markings for Ken Walsh's machine are that for after he scored his last kill while based out of Okinawa. I'm not sure if VMF 222 was engaged in CAS operations at that time, rather turning to offensive fighter sweeps. They certainly were used in the fighter bomber role before moving to Okinawa, but I'm not sure if Walsh flew with them out of Samar.
