For years I had a look at the 1/32 Revell Apollo CSM spacecraft. However, the kit was initially released at least 55 years ago and shows its age with a lot of clunky and not very accurate details. This means aftermarket is required but the choice is limited and the price quite hefty. So I always stepped back because the final cost would have been around 350€! However, when I saw that AviationMegastore was giving a 50% discount on the New ware internal photo etched set, external resin and photo etched set, decals and resin astronauts I took the plunge! This was also helped by the fact I found at the same time a discounted kit of the last Revell release on eBay Germany. Yepeee! I have the same kit, and some years ago found a pe/decal set at Cult tvman. The CSM would look good next to a WNW Taube, methinks.
LSP_Kevin Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 Just had these two boxes arrive, courtesy of yet another Black Friday sale: Now I just have to find the time to set them up and take them for a test drive! Kev thierry laurent, jeroen_R90S, Jan_G and 10 others 13

Rick Griewski Posted December 3, 2025 Posted December 3, 2025 Ah the 3D printer. No model building or not much else getting done for months. Might as well have brought home a Christmas puppy. A-10LOADER, OzzieNick, Shoggz and 2 others 1 4
dennismcc Posted December 3, 2025 Posted December 3, 2025 Now that printer looks intriguing, I will be interested to hear how you progress with it Kev. Cheers Dennis OzzieNick and LSP_Kevin 2

LSP_K2 Posted December 4, 2025 Author Posted December 4, 2025 This has to be the 3rd or 4th copy of this kit that I've owned, but I've never managed to finish one yet. Perhaps this will finally be the one. Shoggz, Phantom2, TankBuster and 4 others 7
LSP_K2 Posted December 8, 2025 Author Posted December 8, 2025 Ordered a month ago, delivered today. Still several more to buy. Shoggz, Rick Griewski, LSP_Ray and 4 others 7
dutik Posted December 10, 2025 Posted December 10, 2025 Black Week sale, St. Nicholas sale, Xmas sale, sale, sale... Added more stuff to the stash Added an engine to my Tempest kit. Both together just for the original price of the Tempest kit. Sale, sale, sale More rigging stuff for WW1 kits: Did I mention the sales? Just because it's a cool critter: Espcially cool fact: The whole bridge -30cm span !- was printed as a SINGLE part! Regards - dutik Out2gtcha, Martinnfb, jeroen_R90S and 7 others 10
dutik Posted December 11, 2025 Posted December 11, 2025 Got my copy of the DOWA 81 aircraft. DOctor WAgner, year 1981 - the smallest possible aircraft for 5 passengers. Built to escape from East Germany to West Germany across the inner german border. Full story here. Parts inside the zipbac: It has printing lines, indeed, but where to get another one? Parts are nice and well detailed, that is what matters. And the price is a bargain for a full 3D printed kit. Size comparision: You see front and aft fuselage across the Bf-109 wing and the Dowa wings behind them. Yes, it has the same scale as Eduards 109 (which is a smale aircraft by itself)! It was a very small aircraft, indeed, and capable to move 2 adulds and 3 children for 100+ kilometers. One of the two engines, taken from a motorbike (photoy by vendor): Photo of a build-up model (the 1/32 scale testshot): Well, the east german Stasi put the family in jail just one day before departure. They had wiretapped them the whole time. The Stasi tested the engines, they worked as planned for 30 minutes. Then the whole aircraft was put in Stasi-storage for years, to be recovered after the peaceful revolution in East Germany and put on display at a museum. BloorwestSiR Posted December 12, 2025 Posted December 12, 2025 For any Mad Max fans, there's finally an IM kit of Max's XB Interceptor. It's a nice presentation too. The company, DDA has also released March Hare's XA Interceptor and Max's Holden wagon thingy. LSP_K2, jeroen_R90S, Phantom2 and 5 others 8

Had to look up the fate of Dr Wagner and his family, fortunately eventually they ended up OK as far as I could find. The engine looks my old MZ motorcycle one! edit: which of course it was. Mine was a much later ETZ150 btw. 19 hours ago, BloorwestSiR said: For any Mad Max fans, there's finally an IM kit of Max's XB Interceptor. That is cool! Michael, I ordered it from Lazy Modeller in Australia. https://lazymodeller.com/ They show as out of stock at the moment but I picked the notify me option and it came in a couple days later. On a Britmodeller thread, some.folks have suggested a couple other shops. This one has the XA in stock. https://www.frontlinehobbies.com.au/dda-1-24-ford-falcon-xa-v8-interceptor-plastic-mod Metro has them as coming soon. https://www.metrohobbies.com.au/search?type=product&q=interceptor&_=pf&pf_t_scale=Scale%3A1%2F24 I haven't tried either of those other ones before and this was the first time I ordered from Lazy Modeller but their service was great.
