Definitely nice box art.

I stopped my my LHS, Wheels and Wings today. They suffered a flood at their offsite storage and as a result are blowing out the water logged kits for a bargain. There's 10,000 of them, mostly aircraft. They're bringing them in stages. Basically, go through the boxes of kits, make a pile and they'll give you a total.

I ended up with a small-ish pile:

PXL_20240801_204433213-L.jpg

- 3 Hasegawa 1/32 P-47D

- 1 Hasegawa 1/32 P-40E/K

- 1 Tamiya 1/32 A6M2 Zero

- 2 Tamiya Panther G (for my 2 sons)

As you can see, the boxes were trash as were the instructions and decals. But I've got the Eduard Dottie Mae and P-40N kits and those came with lots of decal options.

For $100 CAD, it was a great deal if you're going to build them or need spares. They've got lots more but that's what I wanted. A friend got an Italeri F-104, Mirage, Tamiya F-15C, F-4C/D, and Airfix  1/24 Mossie for the same amount.

Grabbed a few toonies by Freedom Models:

The Herc is a brand new mold, the hot rods were available again so I grabbed them too. Nice stuff. The Tomcat will become an Alicat, the Spook left as is (i. e. Robin Olds markings). The Herc might become a Spectre...

I stopped by my LHS to see what was left from the flood sale.

They've been trying to organize what's left and get rid of the soggy/muddy boxes as much as possible. I took a peek at the AM that they had and found some bits that caught my attention.

I'm fairly certain this is every PE set for the HK B-17 that Eduard released along with a full set of resin engines.

Next up were a Barracudacast Tempest nose correction set and 5 Spitfire cockpit updates.

I also got 3 sets of Master RP-3 rockets sets for the Airfix Tiffie along with the RB rad set.

Last bit was the MK1 update set for the same Airfix Tiffie kit. That one I was able to salvage the instructions from.

Now I just need to find a bubbletop Tiffie.

Altogether it was $12. My son spent more on the Warhammer 40k starter set he bought while we were there.

Must be the next step in AM design:

We are used to prepainted PE. Now Eduard is introducing ready-to-use pre-washed and pre-wheatered PE sets :D

Nice haul :speak_cool:

There were at least 2 more in the drawer that I found it in so you could try emailing them and see if they'll dig out for you. Ask for Kyle and he would be the best one to know what to look for.

There's a couple Paragon Tornado slat sets, a bunch of the Hindenburg tanks and ejection seats. I also saw at least 3 Teknics resin cockpit sets for the Tamiya F-14 kit.

Appear to have gained some more 'loft insulation' in the last week - not sure how that happened, but there *may* be a theme emerging.

And what look like nice decals for the ICM Fiat CR.42 and Special Hobby Fiat G.50.

Need to have a clear out of some of the 'projects' I'm never going to get to...

Have fun!
